About this event

We are coordinating with volunteers from each of our small communities to get the needed donations to Health Care Collaborative of Rural Missouri. The Health Care Collaborative (HCC) of Rural Missouri and its Live Well Clinics blend program development with quality health care to create healthier communities. HCC’s service area covers 78,036 people, and consists of 25,344 rural individuals living at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level. This equates to 34 percent of its service area, with a fourth of household incomes below $25,000.

In addition to monetary donations, they need women’s personal hygiene item (sanitary napkins, tampons), blankets, toilet paper and paper towels. Items can be delivered by the donors or volunteers can pick up and deliver. We will have a specific collection date and time for donations to be dropped off. We will also have contact folks in neighborhoods/communities in the county to pick up or receive donations. People will be encouraged to donate online as well. Our drive will be two weeks long to collect donations and get the word out about HHC. Items may be dropped off at 825 S Business Hwy 13, Lexington, MO at 1:00 pm on January 18th.

We will post photos on our Facebook page @LafayettrCountyCentralCommittee with recorded videos from participants and volunteers on 1/18/2021
