About this event

Alliance for Positive Change (alliance.nyc) helps New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic health conditions. People in the Alliance community are among the most vulnerable to COVID-19, and they have been hit hard by the economic fallout of the pandemic. For this year’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, Alliance will be hosting a virtual food and clothing drive to benefit those it serves in their journeys toward positive change.

Donations of nonperishable food, personal protective equipment (PPE), toiletries, and warm clothes are welcome. Please ship items to Alliance Midtown Central at 64 W 35th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10001 to the attention of “Coronavirus Support Fund.” You can also shop directly from Alliance’s Amazon Wishlist and ship from Amazon: https://amzn.to/38GxFJy

Your donation will help people affected by HIV/AIDS, substance use challenges, and other chronic health conditions thrive during a winter season that has been particularly isolating and challenging for many of the New Yorkers we serve.

We welcome donations of any of the following items:
• Coats, socks, boots
• Hats, gloves, scarves
• Blankets
• Masks, disposable gloves, and face shields
• Hand sanitizer
• Nonperishable food items: peanut butter, canned soup, rice, beans, pasta, canned tuna, cereal, etc.
