About this event

Free Baked Oatmeal, Small loaves of Bread, and BOOKS for kids

The Holidays are over, but People are Still Hungry.

January 18th is Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday. It is also the 26th anniversary of the “Day of Service” to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

From 7am to 11am Our Crew, joined by other youth in the community, we will be in front of 222 Artisan Bakery. As we have been doing, we will have our Baked Oats and Books from Afterwords Bookstore free to children. We are adding small loaves of bread on this day as well. We are also accepting non-perishable items that will be delivered to the Glen-Ed Pantry.

Drive up (you don’t need to leave your car), hand us your non-perishable item and we will hand you an 8oz cup of coffee to say Thank You.

At 1130, we will be driving your items to the Glen-Ed Pantry (They are normally closed on this date but Jane assured me she will come in to accept your donations).

You may bring in food or other items any day before then and place up on the stage at 222 Artisan Bakery

As always, we will be masked up, alcohol out for hands, gloves as needed, social distancing, and following safety rules for us and you. Thank you for your support of those in need!
