About this event

2021 MLK Day of Service Virtual Food Drive
As coronavirus cases are rapidly on the climb nationwide, Americans are depending on food banks and pantries across the country more so than ever before. Unfortunately, such heavy reliance also means these places are being depleted of resources—and quickly.
Food banks across Texas, for example, are already preparing for food shortages in the early months of 2021.
“Food insecurity is twice as high as before the pandemic,” Celia Cole, CEO of Feeding Texas—which coordinates the 21 food banks in the state—said to the Texas Tribune. “We are facing a kind of a food cliff and we are worried of how long we are going to be able to keep up with demand without the help of the federal government.”

10 pounds of food – $1
100 pounds of food – $10
The feeling when you help feed hungry families – PRICELESS!

Why are monetary donations to the food bank better than actual food?? Because the food bank can buy in bulk. It can also buy fresh produce, dairy products, and meat at a much lower cost. Make your donations go farther and help feed more people in our community!

To Help, Please Donate!
