Weekend Meal Delivery

We have a new exciting volunteer opportunity for you to bless families at Door of Hope! We still can’t have people on-site yet, due to COVID-19, but we have an opportunity for you to treat families to a restaurant meal. You can volunteer to deliver dinner for about 12 families living at our Pasadena shelters.

Welcome Home Basket

Help a family celebrate their graduation from our program into their own home. All of their hard work pays off when they sign their lease to their very own place…and you can be a part of welcoming to their new home by donating a housewarming basket!

Birthday Angels

Birthday angels help turn an ordinary day into extraordinary for kids at Door of Hope who are celebrating their birthday! It starts with us asking every child to tell us what they want for their birthday and then we match their request with a birthday angel who wants to buy their gift. Our angels deliver the gift with a card and “For Goodness Cakes”, a local nonprofit, delivers the cake!

How you helpThe Door of Hope volunteer program exists to encourage, educate, and empower people by connecting them with opportunities to serve Door of Hope families and join our mission to end family homelessness.
About usFounded in 1985, our mission is to equip families and children experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives. Unlike most homeless service organizations where families are separated, the Door of Hope program keeps the family unit together as they work towards their end goal of achieving permanent housing. We provide families with case management and other services to empower families to achieve the ultimate goal of finding and maintaining housing and providing a better future for their children. Door of Hope has an 82% success rate with families who graduate from the program.
