Ways to help |
Pet TherapyThe therapeutic use of pets as companions has gained increasing attention in recent years for a wide variety of patients –including people with cancer. Animals can provide a source of comfort and bring out our nurturing instinct. If your dog is specially trained in this area, please contact us.Coffee CartVolunteers offer a warm smile as they provide hospitality and push a cart full of snacks, coffee and other beverages throughout our facility. They enjoy interacting with patients and caregivers as they await their appointments and receive treatment.Security/GreeterOur security/greeter volunteers monitor parking areas and greet people as they walk through our doors, offering a warm cup of coffee, a personal ‘hello’ and directions to appropriate areas. They represent the positive, caring atmosphere of the Center. |

About us | Our community has the most generous and gifted volunteers one could imagine. At WMCC, our volunteers brighten the day of all who walk through our doors. Greeters offer assistance, our well-received coffee cart volunteers share refreshments, and even a pet therapy program brings comfort. To assist patients as they re-engage in life, WMCC offers complimentary classes including Survivorcise and Livestrong at the Y. |
