Ways to help

Foster Dogs

To take a dog into your home while we are looking for a permanent home for them. You provide a safe secure enviroment - we provide food and supplies and take care of any medical needs during this time. You provide the space where they can get aclimated to living in a home - taking them on walks, helping with potty training, feeding and a safe and secure place to spend there time until adopted. We would need to arrange for the dogs to be at our mobile adoption events held on Saturdays in the Echo Park, Burbank and Pasadena areas. Support is provided. A great opportunity to send time with a dog and not have the expense of ownership.

How you help It takes a team and a whole heap of giving to make The Real Bark the rescue it is. We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to help with the day to day care of our animals and running of our rescue.
About us We are a non profit canine rescue group based out of the Echo Park / Silverlake areas who work to find dogs in need a home, rehabilitation of dogs who have special needs and educating the public about dog ownership and responsibilities. The "REAL" in our Team name stands for: Responsible - Ethical - Animal - League. Each case is unique. And every one of them is an honor. We are at our finest as a collective…and that is the place we serve them best. We know that they need our help – just like we need your help. That is why we remain community faced. To educate, negotiate, support, empower, and enable individuals to better help their own companion animals…and then assist others.
