How you help | We need a mix of indirect and direct volunteer service to keep us going! Community volunteers often do indirect service, where there is very little to no interaction with residents or service recipients. Examples of indirect service are cleaning, beautification, administrative work, and sorting donations. Indirect service only requires one training orientation. Direct service is anything from hotline and hospital advocacy to youth advocacy. Direct service requires a few more hours of training as well as passing a background check. |
