Photography

Are you magic with a camera? Join the photography team. A photograph's power to saves lives couldn't be more apparent than in the case of rescue animals. We need great photo's of our animals that are available for adoption, and of successfully adopted animals. Also, you would be taking photos at adoption events, special events, and fundraising events.

Kennel Liaison / Dog Walker

Would you be willing to provide help at the kennels we work with? This would involve taking dogs on walks to practice their leash walking skills; transporting the dogs to the veterinarian's office; bringing the dogs to adoption events; taking photos of the dogs; spending time with the dogs to learn traits about them that we can list on their web page; and meeting potential adopters at the kennel to do the paperwork to finalize adoptions.

Foster

Becoming a foster, allows you to experience the true joy of saving a life, and to meet some wonderful dogs, each with their own personality and traits. LDDR provides food, vetting, and general expenses for each foster dog. Each new foster will be assigned a LDDR Mentor that helps them through the process, from picking up your new foster at transport, through to the adoption.

How you helpLast Day Dog Rescue is a 100% volunteer rescue. We have no paid staff; all areas of our rescue are handled by volunteers which includes our officers, board, and team leaders.
About usTo us, Last Day is more than just a name; it is a situation that all of our animals are faced with. We are a no-kill animal rescue based in Livonia, Michigan, with foster volunteers located all over the state of Michigan. By foster, we mean that there are loving people who willingly take in these beautiful transient creatures and do their very best to provide them with safety, security and love. While we openly take in puppies and dogs who are in good shape, our focus is on saving those who are most likely to be thrown away, abandoned and unloved. This organization was founded on the principle that all life is precious and should be given the chance to be loved, cherished and cared for.
