Administrative Staff volunteer

Do you like to serve as a receptionist? Interested in data entry and book keeping? Then these opportunities might be right for you. These roles are for adults only

Shopper

Our most common and numerous type of volunteer opportunity where you escort our wonderful clients through the pantry as they shop! Suitable for high school aged minors, adults, and groups!

Employee/Group volunteering

Typically this will be for corporate organizations who are looking to have their staff come in. If your group is larger than 10 persons we suggest that you reserve several days to accommodate all of your employees as we typically can't provide work for more than 10 persons at one time. Groups typically will do shopping or warehouse/facility related work.

Warehouse staff volunteer

Stocking shelves, unloading food from delivery trucks and cars. These positions are less numerous but nevertheless are great opportunities for young children or groups to help out when the volume of work exceeds our normal capacities. Needs of the warehouse vary, so call first to find out if this is something we can accommodate! (Suitable for high school aged minors, adults, and groups and minor children with a parent or guardian.)

How you help Our family of volunteers are encouraged to share with each other and those seeking help in a compassionate and tender hearted manner with respect for each individual who enters our facility.
About us Hospitality House works to fulfill this mission by operating a food pantry and providing referral services. In addition, Hospitality House also provides advice and aid to pantries in other cities as they work to fight hunger in the greater southeastern Michigan community. Hospitality House feeds on average 490 households monthly and distributes over 51,000 lbs. of food monthly. The top three communities Hospitality House serves are Walled Lake, Wixom, and Novi.
